I  bet on losing dogs.

Mixed Media. 2024.

Throughout becoming a young adult, transitioning from child to woman, I have realized that life moves on no matter what happens. Not for a moment does it stop. It’s overwhelming and with that reality, comes loss.

We feel this loss as we grow older and enter new stages of our life; loss on what could have been or what had happened.

I was so moved by this immense feeling of loss that I decided to create a series of large-scale paintings to explore how the materiality of paint and color can bring about such feelings for the viewer, so that they too may relate and gain healing from the awareness that they are not alone in adversity.
